Japanese specialists documented a clinical case of cavernous sinus septic thrombosis that occurred in a fifty-year-old man. This complication developed as a result of odontogenic sinusitis.
Odontogenic sinusitis is a complication of an inflammatory process localized in the dental area and manifests as purulent inflammation of the paranasal sinuses. As a result of the thrombosis, the patient suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage, which led to his death thirteen days after admission to the hospital.
