The legendary actress shared an update on her condition on Sunday via her Instagram account. She reported that new scan results showed the cancer had spread to the surface of her liver, necessitating a change in her treatment protocol.
Nafisa Ali posted a photograph taken while she was in a hospital room, connected to an IV drip. Along with the image, she provided new information about her treatment and cancer. In the caption, the actress wrote: 'My treatment protocol has changed, and I have been prescribed 'targeted therapy'... I am fighting my battle with courage. Thank you all for supporting my energy.'
According to the LYCA-PET/CT scan data, the ovarian/peritoneal cancer has slightly spread throughout the body, and new cancerous growths have appeared on the outer surface of the liver. After publishing her post, fans expressed strong emotions and began wishing her a speedy recovery. One user wrote: 'May Allah help you recover soon,' and another noted: 'You are brave.' Many people prayed for Nafisa to remain strong.
At 69 years old, Nafisa Ali continued to work in several films despite her fight with cancer. Among the films she starred in are 'Yamla Pagla Diwana,' 'Unchai,' and 'Gujjarish.'
