Unusual and mind-boggling street food videos often go viral on social media. Sometimes excessive amounts of cheese are added to dishes, while other times the abundance of spices attracts attention. For example, an omelet with Coca-Cola was also among these strange culinary experiments. Currently, one plate of Kadi Chawal has become the focus.
A street food video is rapidly spreading, showing a vendor pouring approximately 100 grams of oil onto a serving of Kadi Chawal. The video was shot by a food blogger and subsequently published by a user named Sachcha on X. As of now, the post has garnered over 5.19 lakh views.
In the footage, the vendor first serves rice with cumin, after which he places a large layer of oil on top. Hot Kadi is then poured over the rice. The dish is finished with raw onion and spices.
According to the vendor, customers really like this dish, and it costs 130 rupees per plate. At the time the video was recorded, five such servings had already been prepared.
Sharing the video, Sachcha jokingly noted that medical insurance gives some people such confidence as if the hospital bill is already covered. He called this plate with 100 grams of oil 'food awaiting reimbursement from insurance.'
After the video appeared, social media users also reacted strongly. One user jokingly wrote that their arteries were screaming for help from such a sight. Others expressed surprise at the large amount of oil.
