The Uzbekistan national team demonstrated impressive results at the Eurasian Dauria Cup international tournament held in Chita. The athletes won three gold medals and one silver medal.
Tournament Results
Uzbek boxers confidently took prize places in three different weight categories. Among the main winners of the tournament are Bekhon Abdullaev, Umarkhon Mirzakhonov, and Sarvar Mirzakulov. These athletes won gold medals in the under 75, 81, and 92 kilograms categories, respectively.
Abdullokh Abdullaev brought the national team a silver medal. He reached the final in the under 60 kilograms weight class but lost in the final bout.
At the competition, Uzbek athletes competed against boxers from Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and several other countries. The Eurasian Dauria Cup itself was held in Chita as part of the development of sports interaction between various countries.
It was previously noted that five boxers representing Uzbekistan, according to data from the BoxRec statistical portal, are among the ten strongest amateur fighters in the world regardless of weight class. The leader of this ranking is Olympic champion Abdumalik Khalokov.
