If you are tired of eating chila made from besan every day, try making chila with pohi and suji. This option is not only very tasty but also easy to prepare in the morning rush. We will tell you a simple recipe for preparing this dish.
Chila is popular for breakfast, but if you want to diversify your diet and try something new and appetizing, chila made from pohi and suji will be an excellent choice. Chila made from pohi and suji has a rich flavor and does not require much time, allowing it to be quickly prepared even during the morning hustle.
Adding onions, tomatoes, fresh cilantro, and spices to the mixture significantly enhances its flavor. It can be served with green paste, yogurt, or any other favorite sauce. Let's find out what ingredients are needed to make pohi chila and how to easily make it at home.
First, grind the pohi in a blender until it reaches a coarse grind. Then, transfer this powder into a large bowl. Add the suji, yogurt, and a little water to it, mixing thoroughly. It is important to monitor the consistency of the mixture: it should not be too thick nor too runny. After that, cover the mixture with a lid and leave it for about 10 minutes to allow the suji to swell.
Next, add finely chopped onions, tomatoes, fresh cilantro, salt, and black pepper to this mixture, mixing all components well. In a small frying pan, heat a little oil and fry curry leaves and rai seeds, preparing tempura. Pour the resulting tempura into the batter mixture and mix thoroughly.
Now, heat a crepe pan and grease it with a little oil. When the pan is sufficiently heated, pour one ladleful of batter, spreading it into a round shape. Cook the chila over medium heat. As soon as the bottom side starts to take on a light golden color, flip it and fry on the other side until fully cooked.
When the chilas become golden and slightly crispy on both sides, remove them from the pan. Prepare the remaining portions of the batter in the same way. The finished hot pohi chila can be served with green paste, yogurt, or your favorite sauce.
