The first Time Out Market of London will be located in a historic and listed building in the bustling Piccadilly Circus, in the heart of the West End. The opening of this new space is scheduled for 2028.
This building, originally constructed in 1925 to house the British watch brand Swan & Edgar, was later used by the well-known Tower Records. Time Out London was conceived to serve as a global showcase for the network, also representing a symbolic return to the roots of Time Out magazine, which was founded in the English capital in 1968.
In addition to offering the best local cuisine, the market will feature a diverse schedule of cultural events and live performances. The inauguration is planned to coincide with the magazine's sixtieth anniversary, taking place in the first half of 2028, although the exact date has not yet been announced.
The project is part of a larger revitalization plan for the 10 Piccadilly complex, carried out in collaboration with The Crown Estate. It is estimated that the new Time Out Market could generate approximately 130 new jobs in the area.

The development also incorporates a strong focus on sustainability, aiming to reduce food waste, source products from local suppliers, and optimize energy consumption during its construction.
The space will occupy three floors of the building and will have a direct view of Piccadilly Circus. Over 2,450 square meters will be made available to accommodate 15 gastronomic establishments, whose selection will be made by Time Out's local editors, ensuring that there are no chains or franchises present.
The concept of Time Out Market consists of a gastronomic and cultural meeting point created by Time Out magazine, bringing together chefs, bars, and restaurants from the host city, following a rigorous editorial curation process. These markets function as an exhibition of the gastronomic and cultural identity elements of the cities where they are located.
The pioneering Time Out Market was launched in Lisbon in 2014. Following the success of this initiative, the magazine has been expanding its markets internationally. Currently, there are 13 operational units in Lisbon, Porto, New York, Chicago, Boston, Montreal, Barcelona, Budapest, Dubai, Bahrain, Cape Town, and Osaka.
In addition to the London market, future openings are planned in New Delhi, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Prague, and São Paulo.
