Tony Babavala, who arrived in Satara for travel, had extra baggage that he could not safely store at the station due to the lack of appropriate services. In response, he decided to draw the attention of the railway administration to this issue by placing a bag filled with clothes on his head.
Tony also spoke with other passengers at the station to inquire about available services. He recorded a video of the entire situation and shared it on social media. The absence of such a basic service, like luggage storage for a foreign tourist, raised questions about the fundamental amenities of the Satara railway station.
Representatives of the railway administration stated that the Satara station is a historical site from the British Empire era. They reported that a proposal has been sent to senior management to begin providing luggage storage services. According to the railway administration, the Satara station is included in the 'Amrit Bharat Yojana' program, and the new railway station will provide luggage storage for passengers. This was reported by station master Ganpat Chavan.
