Head of Iran's Central Bank Arrives in Turkey to Discuss New Banking Exchange Mechanisms

Abdolnaser Hammati, head of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), left Tehran and traveled to Istanbul, Turkey. The purpose of his trip was to participate in a meeting of central bank governors from Islamic countries.

According to a report by Mehr News Agency, citing the Central Bank's press service, Abdolnaser Hammati, the head of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran, departed from Tehran for Istanbul, Turkey, leading a high-level delegation to attend this meeting.

As part of this trip, in addition to actively participating in the official meeting of central bank governors from Islamic countries, the central bank head has intensive bilateral negotiations scheduled with representatives of the participating countries.

The main focus of these consultations is stated to be deepening and developing bilateral banking and trade cooperation, as well as developing and defining new ways to facilitate trade between the parties.

This trip is expected to be an effective step towards reducing financial restrictions and strengthening Iran's economic ties with Islamic states.
