Vaibhab Suryavanshi did not make the starting lineup for the Indian team against Afghanistan due to squad selection

The first T20 match between India and Afghanistan began at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. However, during the announcement of the squads after the coin toss, Indian captain Shreyas Iyer delivered news that disappointed fans.

The stadium was packed with spectators, many of whom loudly cheered for Vaibhab Suryavanshi. But when captain Shreyas Iyer announced the starting lineup, the fans were extremely upset because the 15-year-old rising star was not included in the team.

Questions arose about the reasons for Vaibhab's exclusion: was it his fault, or was he left out for other reasons? It turned out that Vaibhab had not made any mistakes that could warrant punishment; the real reason was the squad formation and high competition within the team.

The team management opted for the proven pairing of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma, who helped win the World Cup. Ishan Kishan also remained in the squad in the third position. As a result, there was no room for Vaibhab in the top order.

The new T20 captain, Shreyas Iyer, preferred experience at home and decided to keep Vaibhab on the bench. Nevertheless, many fans felt that in a series against a team like Afghanistan, young and new players should have been given a chance.

Some social media users expressed the opinion that instead of suppressing Vaibhab's potential and hype, he should have been allowed to play openly. Thousands of spectators who came to the stadium expected to see a powerful performance from Vaibhab but were disappointed.

Thus, the young star Vaibhab will have to wait a little longer to debut on Indian soil. However, it is clear that the talent of this young athlete cannot be kept on the bench for too long.
