Furthermore, Xi Jinping proposed deepening BRICS countries' interaction in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital industries, trade, intelligent manufacturing, and science and technology. Beijing presented five initiatives, including the creation of an open BRICS community for AI, aiming to expand practical cooperation within the expanded group.
During the BRICS summit, Russia reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping offered their 'good offices' to Vladimir Putin to assist in resolving the conflict in Ukraine. Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that Putin welcomed the readiness of the parties to provide assistance.
In separate meetings with Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Modi and President Xi Jinping also discussed strengthening economic ties between India and Russia, including the Economic Cooperation Program until 2030, as well as issues concerning infrastructure, energy, technology, defense, and culture. Prime Minister Modi affirmed India's support for dialogue and diplomacy in resolving conflicts.
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei warned that the risks associated with increasingly advanced AI systems cannot be described by a single probability.
