The International Youth Festival continues in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russia, bringing together young people from 191 states. The event started on September 11 and will run until September 17.
Ten thousand people are participating in the festival: 5 thousand from Russia and another 5 thousand from foreign countries. The total number of applications received from over 191 countries exceeded 113 thousand, resulting in 10 thousand young people being invited to Yekaterinburg after the final selection.
Foreign delegations were formed based on professional fields for the first time. Participants represent areas such as information technology, creative industries, media, sports, science, entrepreneurship, public administration, and the social sphere.
Uzbekistan is one of the countries that has shown high interest in the festival. According to the main list results, the republic entered the top ten in terms of the number of applications among foreign states.
A special program for children has also been organized within the framework of the festival, in which one thousand teenagers aged 14 to 17 from 99 countries are participating.
The main venues for the event are located at the 'Yekaterinburg-Expo' international exhibition center and on the campus of the Ural Federal University. The program includes discussions, practical classes, cultural and sporting events, exhibitions, as well as platforms for international meetings.
