The Japanese Ambassador to Iran, Tamaki Tsukada, visited the Iranian National Paralympic Committee and held a meeting with its president, Ghafur Karagari. The main topic of discussion was Iran's participation in the Asian Para Games in Ait-Nagoa in 2026.
Attendees at the meeting included the Secretary General of the National Paralympic Committee, Hamedali Samimi, and Mohammad Pouladgar, the head of the Iranian mission to the Ait-Nagoa Games. Karagari emphasized the cultural ties between Iran and Japan, conveying a message of friendship and goodwill from the Iranian people to Japan, which will host the fifth edition of the Asian Para Games.
For his part, Tsukada wished the Iranian Paralympians success at the upcoming event and expressed the readiness of the Japanese embassy to cooperate and facilitate the participation of the Iranian delegation in the Games.
The Japanese Ambassador highly praised Iran's sporting achievements, naming the country one of Asia's four leading sports nations. He also noted Iran's significant progress in sports and technology in recent years.
The visit concluded with a tour by Tsukada of the National Paralympic Museum, where he examined memorabilia collected from various editions of the Paralympic and Asian Para Games, and learned more about Iran's sporting icons and achievements in the Paralympic movement.
