Diljit Dosanjh announces upcoming concert at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad

Punjabi rockstar Diljit Dosanjh has once again impressed music lovers. During his spectacular performance at the prestigious Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday, September 12, he made a significant announcement that filled his fans in India with excitement.

Amidst his sold-out concert, Diljit revealed that he will soon give a grand performance at the largest stadium in India, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

While performing at Wembley as part of his 'Aura World Tour,' Diljit announced the date for the Ahmedabad show, which caused the entire stadium to erupt in applause. He informed his fans that he will perform live at the Narendra Modi Stadium on November 21, 2026. This will be his first opportunity to perform in front of the Ahmedabad audience after his successful 'Dil-Luminati India Tour' in 2024. However, ticket sales, prices, and booking details for this upcoming event have not yet been released.

Praising the venue from the stage, Diljit called the Narendra Modi Stadium the largest and best place in the country. During this time, he also mentioned the famous British rock band 'Coldplay.' He commented that a foreign band had recently sold out all tickets for this stadium, which he accepted as a sign of respect and congratulations. Furthermore, adding in his desi and Punjabi accent, Diljit stated that it would not be impossible for a Punjabi to raise a flag there if such a massive stadium exists in India.

This London concert holds special significance for Diljit, as he became the first Punjabi artist to headline at Wembley Stadium. He started the show with his famous dialogue, 'Punjabi aa gaye Wembley Oye!', and told the thousands present that this historic moment would always be remembered. In this program, which lasted over two hours, Diljit made the audience dance to several hit songs such as 'GOAT,' 'Lover,' 'Hans-Hans,' and 'Born to Shine.'

The vast stadium, with a capacity of approximately 90,000, was completely packed with fans of all ages and backgrounds. During the concert, Diljit felt a deep connection with the audience; he invited some fans, including children and an elderly woman, onto the stage and interacted with them. This magnificent performance concluded with his popular song 'Main Hoon Punjabi' and fireworks exploding in the sky. This unforgettable evening at Wembley was not only special for London but also paved the way for his next major event in India.

Ashish Nehra stated that taking the role of India's national team coach could lead to divorce from his wife

Former fast bowler for the Indian national team, Ashish Nehra, is known for his humorous style. His work as coach for the 'Gujarat Titans' in the IPL was highly successful, as he played a key role in the team winning the title in the first season.

Recently, when asked about the possibility of becoming the head coach of the Indian national team, his response caused laughter among all present. Nehra jokingly stated that if he accepts the duties of coaching the Indian national team without prior discussion with his wife Rushmi Nehra, it could end in divorce.

These statements were made during the annual CAB awards ceremony in Kolkata, where Nehra arrived before the start of the T20 series between India and Afghanistan, which begins on September 13 in Delhi. When asked if he would like to coach the Indian national team in the future, he smiled and replied that it was difficult to say anything yet, as he first needed to consult the 'high commissioner' of his home, i.e., his wife, otherwise he might get divorced.

Nehra also explained this joke with a more serious reason. He noted that becoming a coach in international cricket means having to spend 8-9 months away from family and constantly traveling. Nehra emphasized that this job is not easy at all. He added that due to constant hustle and pressure at the international level, no one can stay in this position for more than three or four years.

When asked to compare the IPL and international cricket considering his brilliant leadership of 'Gujarat Titans' up to the IPL championship, Nehra openly shared his opinion. He admitted that being the coach of a national team of any country is a much more complex task. Nehra stated that carrying the flag of an entire country and traveling for nine months is something more than just ordinary business. He clarified that when people ask him about working in 'Gujarat', he says it is not a job, but his passion. In Nehra's opinion, although 10 teams participate in the IPL and the competition is high, managing a national team represents a completely different level of responsibility.

When asked if he would ever become the coach of the Indian national team, Nehra replied that it would be a huge honor and pride for him, but he is not planning anything like that yet. Currently, he is satisfied with his current life and work. Gautam Gambhir is currently leading the Indian team.
