President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the progress of construction of the new National Museum of Uzbekistan in Tashkent on September 11. Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration, commented on the importance of this project.
The architectural concept of the museum was developed by Tadao Ando, a renowned contemporary architect and Pritzker Prize laureate.
According to Saida Mirziyoyeva, the National Museum will become one of the largest cultural projects in Central Asia. The building will include exhibition halls, a library, restoration laboratories, and educational centers.
She particularly noted the necessity of involving world-class architects in the implementation of such projects. Mirziyoyeva stated that the objects they create remain in cities for decades and themselves become works of art, part of history and cultural heritage.
