In the Almazar district of Tashkent, in the Kichrikik mahalla, an eight-story parking tower has been erected, becoming one of the first similar installations in Uzbekistan.
According to data from the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, this tower operates on a lift system and is capable of accommodating up to sixteen vehicles simultaneously. The parking facility is equipped with a central elevator that moves the car and places it in an available spot either to the right or to the left of the structure.
The structure is designed so that an area previously accommodating only a few cars can now hold up to sixteen vehicles at once. This object is part of a large-scale program to improve the mahalla.
Kichrikik mahalla has twenty-three residential buildings and over five thousand four hundred residents. The complex of improvement works was carried out as part of the state program 'Obod Mahalla' with the allocation of 71.4 billion soms from the local budget.
The project contributed to the creation of a modern urban space in the mahalla, including the creation of a pedestrian zone spanning 2.4 km along the Kichrikik canal, 12.4 km of pedestrian paths, and additional green areas. Sports grounds and recreational facilities were also installed.
Twelve training zones and three football fields were established for young people, and libraries began operating. As part of the improvements, the facades of residential buildings were renovated, benches and lighting fixtures were installed, and about 6500 decorative and fruit trees were planted.
During his visit to the mahalla, the president gave instructions regarding the need to increase employment and reduce poverty among local residents.
