At the end of the match, when it seemed Pakistan's story was over, Rajulla, batting at number nine, made a splash in his debut Test match. He scored a powerful 81 runs, actively using sixes and fours alongside Mohammad Abbas (42 runs). Rajulla reached a half-century in just 43 balls, which was the fastest half-century among all Pakistani batsmen in a debut match.
These two players formed a partnership of 121 runs, bringing the total score to 449. This made it clear that England would have to bat again to chase. Nevertheless, Josh Tongue broke this partnership, and Pakistan's innings was halted at 449. After this, England scored 130 runs and won the match. Notably, Pakistan lost because they were bowled out for 133 runs in the first innings, which was the main reason for their defeat.
