The administration of the Fergana region reported that the cultivation of bananas and papayas has started in the Rishtan district, Fergana region, in a greenhouse covering one hundred square meters.
On the farm managed by Nodirjon Mahmudov in the Yukori Avazboy mahalla, the growing of bananas, papayas, and other tropical fruits has commenced. Despite these crops usually requiring a tropical climate, they are successfully developing under Rishtan's conditions.
Fruits have already appeared on the banana and papaya plants, and the first harvest is expected in about a month. The experience of this farm demonstrates that small plots can be effectively used to grow market-demanded products and generate additional income for families.
