Telugu Star Naani Announces Plans for Film 'The Paradise': No Trailer and Focus on Domestic Market

The film 'The Paradise' by Telugu superstar Naani is generating significant interest in the South Indian cinema industry. Although the project features numerous stars from various regions of India, Naani himself does not intend to promote it as a pan-Indian film. Recently, at a press event, the superstar made several important statements regarding 'The Paradise.'

Regarding a trailer, it was announced that one will not be released. There are only two weeks left until the film's premiere. Typically, a trailer is released before a movie comes out, but in this case, the creators have decided to release the film directly in theaters. The reason for this is that filming has not yet been completed, a decision Naani personally confirmed.

Naani explained that the team is focused on refining the final result of the film because some scenes still need to be shot. He noted that releasing a trailer under the current circumstances would force the director, composer, and other key team members to divert attention from the remaining work. If asked what is more important—the trailer or the film itself—he would choose the film. Although he personally would like to create and release a magnificent trailer, the entire team has decided against its release given the current situation.

The Telugu superstar also emphasized that the decision to forgo a trailer was not made due to high anticipation surrounding the film. Naani stated that this decision is not based on preliminary audience enthusiasm. While there is high interest in the picture among the audience, the creators do not feel the film requires a trailer. They do not want to underestimate the viewers and do not rely on the film itself to attract attention without promotional materials.

The creators of 'The Paradise' are also aiming to move away from the concept of a pan-Indian project and focus on their domestic market, specifically the Telugu audience. Discussing the large-scale release and reach of the film, Naani shared the team's views on the multilingual distribution of the project. He clarified that they do not want to label it a pan-Indian film. The film will be released not only in Telugu but also in several other languages. Naani considers Telugu his main priority, and he hopes that viewers of other languages will also see and enjoy 'The Paradise' to its fullest.

The film 'The Paradise', produced by SLV Cinemas, is scheduled for a major theatrical release on September 24, 2026. It will be released in eight languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, English, Spanish, Bengali, Kannada, and Malayalam. Renowned actors such as Raghav Jual and Sonali Kulkarni will also star in the film.

Following the success of 'Hanuman Ansh', films about Sai Baba and Hartu Shyam are announced

Currently, there is a growing interest in films dedicated to faith and spirituality at the box office. Following the significant success of the movie 'Hanuman Ansh', two other major religious projects have been announced. One of them, 'Tera Sai', will tell the story of Shirdi Sai Baba's life and teachings, while the second film will be dedicated to the faith of millions of followers of Hartu Shyamaji.

The team behind 'Tera Sai' chose a special location to announce the release date of the film. Producer Shailesh S. Sangvi and director Palash Muchhal visited Sai Baba's temple in Shirdi to seek blessings, after which the premiere date was announced. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on February 5, 2027.

The plot of 'Tera Sai' centers around the life and teachings of Sai Baba, as well as a universal message of humanity and love. Palash Muchhal wrote and directed this film. Actor Sanjay Mishra will play Sai Baba, and other artists such as Sayaji Shinde, Manoj Joshi, Omkar Das Manikpuri, Avika Gor, and Rohan Mehra will participate. Filming for the movie has concluded, and post-production is currently underway. The creators have strived to recreate that era on screen as authentically as possible. Special attention has been paid to presenting Sai Baba not only as a spiritual figure but also as a deeply human character.

Following the success of 'Hanuman Ansh', another major religious project dedicated to Hartu Shyam Baba has been announced. The production company Abnandanti Entertainment and Select Media Holding have announced the creation of a feature film inspired by the story of Shri Hartu Shyamji. The working title of the film is 'Hare Ka Sahara Baba Khatu Shyam Hamara'. The film will be based on the faith and history of Hartu Shyamji, whom millions of devotees across the country revere with deep respect. The plot will show how the blessings and devotion of Baba Hartu Shyam guide his followers. The film is planned for a theatrical release in 2027, although the director and cast have not yet been announced.

The success of 'Hanuman Ansh' highlights the growing interest in religious and spiritual stories in cinema. While audiences increasingly prefer not only entertainment content on the big screen but also stories related to faith and emotion, this opens up great opportunities for creators. It remains to be seen how successfully 'Tera Sai' and 'Baba Khatu Shyam' can translate audience faith into box office success. However, one thing is clear: following 'Hanuman Ansh', the Bollywood box office is beginning to take on more spiritual hues, as there are rumors that Karan Johar is also planning to create a religious-themed film.

Film 'Mirzapur' surpasses 50 crore mark at the box office due to high audience interest

The popularity of the web series 'Mirzapur' was demonstrated by the recently released theatrical film 'Mirzapur: The Movie'. Released on Friday, the film attracted audience attention thanks to its recognizable characters and strong fan community. On its first day of release, it received extremely positive reviews from the public.

'Mirzapur: The Movie' started with box office collections of 25.75 crore rupees, which was one of the highest opening figures in the careers of the film's leading actors, including Pankaj Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, and Ali Fazal. Positive word-of-mouth contributed to the film's growing popularity on the second day, which was Saturday.

According to Sakencode data, on the second day, the film collected a net income of 31 crore rupees, showing a 20% increase, while the cinema occupancy rate was around 50%. The total net income over two days reached 56.75 crore rupees. Approximately 11 thousand shows have been launched across the country. As for the worldwide gross, the film has already earned 78.45 crore rupees.

The release of the 'Mirzapur' series into cinemas has been a significant success for the creators, considering its status as one of the largest projects on the OTT platform. According to available data, the project budget is estimated at approximately 250 crore rupees. Therefore, to break even, the film needs to collect 300–350 crore rupees, and the creators have a chance to achieve this goal if the collection pace continues over the next two weeks.

Comparing the collections with other major projects, it is noted that Pankaj Tripathi has only surpassed the 100 crore rupee mark with the film OMG 2. Ali Fazal and Divyendu Sharma have not yet reached this figure. However, the current collection pace and the impression made by 'Mirzapur: The Movie' suggest that they will soon receive their first film with 100 crore in box office collections.
