Bank of Baroda has introduced its new artificial intelligence-based mobile banking platform, bob World 2.0. The presentation took place at the Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai. This platform aims to create an omnichannel ecosystem for digital banking and includes voice banking features, personal financial management tools, hyper-personalization, and enhanced security.
The application demonstration was held on September 11th for DFS Secretary Sanjay Lohia, Managing Director and CEO Debadatta Chanda, and the bank's executive directors. The platform is built on a microservices architecture and is designed for gradual expansion in both mobile and internet banking.
Thanks to this system, customers can initiate transactions and use banking services through voice commands. The personal finance management module provides customers with an overview of their financial status and promotes financial well-being. Furthermore, the platform offers a tailored experience for various user groups, including senior citizens, women, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and millennials, while also providing a multi-layered real-time protection system.
According to Debadatta Chanda, customers increasingly expect banking services to be intuitive, intelligent, secure, and personalized. He noted that bob World 2.0 combines financial wellness tools, AI-driven voice interaction, and personalized experience on a single platform. The bank also plans to continue developing its digital banking ecosystem in line with changing customer needs and expectations.
Debadatta Chanda emphasized: 'As banking becomes more digital, customers expect an experience that is intuitive, intelligent, secure, and highly personalized. With bob World 2.0, we have reimagined mobile banking around our customers' needs by integrating financial wellness tools, AI-powered voice interaction, and a personalized customer experience on one platform.'
Bank of Baroda, which is owned by the Government of India to 63.97%, serves over 180 million customers through approximately 65,000 touchpoints across 15 countries.
