The Iranian men's canoe polo national team has determined its opponents for the upcoming ICF Canoe Polo World Championship in 2026.
The Iranian U21 team was placed in Group A alongside Spain, the reigning champion, as well as New Zealand, China, and Switzerland.
Iran will begin its campaign on Tuesday with a match against the New Zealand team.
Canoe polo world championships are international competitions in this sport discipline. They have been held every two years since 1994 (for the U21 category since 2002) and take place in different locations.
Medals are awarded to national teams; the German team has won the most medals overall.
The 2026 Canoe Polo World Championship will take place in Duisburg, Germany, from September 15 to 20.
