The textile group Renaissance Group from Bangladesh is studying potential opportunities to place orders with Uzbek enterprises, establish joint ventures, and implement investment projects in Uzbekistan, according to the Uztekstilprom Association.
During a meeting with representatives of Renaissance Group at the Uztekstilprom Association, prospects for manufacturing finished clothing and knitwear in Uzbekistan for subsequent export to CIS countries and European states were discussed.
Representatives of the Bangladeshi group familiarized themselves with the production capacities and product range of Uzbek companies. During their visit, they toured several local production facilities to assess their capabilities and search for potential partners for order placement.
In addition to order placement issues, the parties discussed the prospects of forming joint ventures in Uzbekistan and launching new investment initiatives.
Renaissance Group was founded in 1999 and manages the activities of twelve textile enterprises. The group's annual export volume amounts to 400 million US dollars, and the company employs about 25 thousand staff members.
