According to data from the National Statistical Committee, the turnover of public catering enterprises in Uzbekistan for the period from January to July 2026 amounted to 171 trillion sums. This indicator showed a growth of 16.7% in real terms compared to the same period last year.
As of August 1, 2026, there were 29,582 commercial enterprises operating in the country's public catering sector. Among them were 147 large enterprises and 29,435 small enterprises and microfirms.
Small enterprises and microfirms constitute the vast majority of operating commercial public catering enterprises; their number is almost 200 times greater than the number of large enterprises. The National Statistical Committee emphasized the growth of the sector in real terms, noting that by the end of the first seven months of 2026, the turnover was 16.7% higher than in the corresponding period of 2025.
