UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan participated in the Germany and UAE Business Forum, held in Munich on September 11 as part of his state visit to Germany. The event brought together senior executives and investors from both countries.
During meetings with business leaders attending the forum, the UAE President emphasized the critical importance of the private sectors of both nations for the further development of strategic partnership between the UAE and Germany. He highlighted the need to seek new areas of cooperation in priority sectors, as well as expanding existing partnerships to support investment ties between the two states.
Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the key topics and sessions of the forum, which examined opportunities to strengthen economic and investment interaction between the UAE and Germany, particularly in the fields of innovation, investment, advanced technologies, and industry. Ways to increase cooperation between the business communities of the two countries were also discussed, aiming to transform opportunities into sustainable projects and high-impact partnerships.
At the forum, 30 memorandums of understanding, agreements, and commercial partnerships totaling approximately 9.66 billion euros were signed in priority sectors. These sectors include renewable and clean energy infrastructure, oil and gas, advanced technologies and artificial intelligence, industry and manufacturing, logistics, transport, ports and aviation, healthcare and life sciences, agriculture and food security, and consumer goods.
Participants stressed the importance of continuing to expand cooperation between the private sectors of both countries to stimulate economic growth, enhance competitiveness, and create new opportunities for joint projects and investments, building on the growing momentum in UAE-Germany relations. The forum serves as a platform uniting the business communities of both countries to explore commercial and investment prospects and ways to convert them into long-term partnerships that promote the mutual interests and ambitions of both nations.
