Five orangutan infants were found abandoned in the forest in Odisha, located approximately 4000 kilometers from their natural habitat.
A team led by Forest Service Officer Pratik Indalkar received a call at 5:35 AM. Within ten minutes, they arrived at the scene, managed to handle a crowd of about 2000 people, and rescued the endangered animals.
After the infants received food and medicine, they were transported on an 8-hour journey of 300 kilometers to the Nandankanan Zoo, where they could receive proper care.
