Today we present a simple recipe for making this dish. The besan flatbread substance boasts a delightful flavor and does not require many ingredients. First, besan mixed with spices is prepared into flatbreads, which are then simmered in a mixture made from onions, tomatoes, garlic, and other spices. A special feature is that it can be served for lunch or dinner with roti, paratha, or puri. Therefore, if you run out of vegetables or are tired of monotonous dishes, be sure to try this spiced besan flatbread substance.
Ingredients required: 2 bowls of besan, 2 large onions, 8-9 cloves of garlic, 2 green peppers, 2 tomatoes, 1 teaspoon of ginger, 2 teaspoons of red chili powder, 1 teaspoon of turmeric, 1 teaspoon of coriander powder, a pinch of hing, ½ teaspoon of ajwain, oil as needed, salt to taste, and a little garam masala.
To prepare the dry besan flatbread substance, first take the besan in a bowl. Add hing, ajwain, a little salt, and red chili. Then gradually add water to make a batter. It is important to ensure that the batter is neither too runny nor too thick.
After this, place a pan on the stove and heat a little oil. When the oil is hot, pour in the besan batter and spread it with a spoon into a round shape. Fry it on both sides until light golden brown. Thus, all the flatbreads from the batter are prepared.
Next, heat a little oil in a pot. Blend the onion, garlic, tomatoes, ginger, and green pepper. When the oil is hot, add this paste to the pot. Add salt, red chili, turmeric, and coriander powder, and sauté the spices well.
When the mixture is well cooked, cut the prepared besan flatbreads into small pieces and add them to the mixture. Now add a little water, cover the pot with a lid, and simmer over low or medium heat for about 15-20 minutes. After the substance is well cooked, turn off the heat. Finally, add a little garam masala and mix thoroughly.
Now your delicious dry besan flatbread substance is ready. Serve it hot with roti or paratha.
