The United States has intensified pressure on Iran. The US Treasury Department introduced new restrictions targeting several individuals and organizations that provide financial support to alleged Iranian proxy networks.
Among the sanctioned individuals are people associated with Hezbollah from Lebanon. According to the US, the goal of these new sanctions is to limit Iran's financial potential and halt the funding of its allied networks.
