The China International Fair for Trade in Services 2026 (CIFTIS) continues to attract international visitors, showcasing over 100 new products and services in areas such as intelligent healthcare, information and communication technologies, and fintech.
Expansion of International Participation
The fair, running until September 13th at the Showgang Park—a former industrial site and venue for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics—has gathered participants from 90 countries, regions, and international organizations. Over 1830 companies are exhibiting, including 473 companies from the Fortune Global 500 list or industry leaders. The medical services section, which is a key segment of CIFTIS for the sixth consecutive year, covers an area of 7,500 square meters, with its level of internationalization reaching 56.6%.
Strong Industry Concentration
As part of CIFTIS 2026, the Exhibition Zone for Frontier Medical Technologies is presented, bringing together eight specialized and complex enterprises in cell therapy and precision medicine. This zone provides a targeted platform for small and medium-sized technology enterprises. Twenty-two renowned domestic and international companies are exhibiting their goods for the first time, while industry giants such as GE Healthcare, AstraZeneca, and Tong Ren Tang continue to display their latest developments, many of which are world debuts.
The guest of honor country, Norway, has established a national pavilion covering approximately 260 square meters at Showgang Park. This pavilion encompasses maritime industry, healthcare, energy, digital services, and more, offering events such as corporate presentations and thematic seminars, thereby fostering trade between China and Norway.
During the fair, Norway, France, Australia, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and the World Trade Center Association will host over 20 promotional events. The World Conference on Traditional Medicine 2026, scheduled for October in Beijing, was also promoted, demonstrating how Beijing's medical institutions are utilizing robots to improve patient care.
The guest province, Guangxi, has updated its comprehensive pavilion, designed as a main showcase for digital trade cooperation between China and ASEAN. The pavilion, dedicated to using digital intelligence to connect with ASEAN, is a fully immersive space highlighting advancements in artificial intelligence, traditional Chinese medicine, wellness, and cross-border logistics. In 2025, Guangxi's total import and export of services reached nearly $3.4 billion, a 22% increase compared to the previous year, sustaining growth above 20% for three consecutive years.
