The Uzbek side reported that negotiations took place between Uzbekistan and the company Voodoo regarding the prospects for developing the local gaming industry and promoting national projects on the international stage.
The discussions were held in Paris as part of the International Space Summit. Participants in the meeting included Bobur Khodjaev, Head of the Department of Financial Technologies, Digitalization, and Artificial Intelligence of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan; Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov; and Yuri Kotikov, Voodoo's Head for Eastern Europe.
The main focus of the participants was on developing the GameDev ecosystem in Uzbekistan and determining possible directions for cooperation with Voodoo. Representatives of Uzbekistan presented an overview of the country's gaming industry, its development priorities, and the conditions created for game development companies.
Voodoo expressed interest in the Uzbek market and stated its readiness to support promising gaming startups from Uzbekistan when entering international markets. Furthermore, the possibility of launching educational programs through Voodoo Academy and holding joint hackathons was discussed.
Further interactions include planned meetings with local game studios. The parties intend to assess the potential of local companies and find opportunities for jointly promoting promising game projects in foreign markets.
