During the meeting, the parties discussed the activities of ICAO, its role in the development of international civil aviation, as well as the current state of cooperation with Uzbekistan. Nicolas Rollo emphasized that ICAO is a specialized agency of the UN that coordinates interaction between 193 states in the field of civil aviation and develops international standards and recommended practices in this area.
It was noted that Uzbekistan's aviation sector has turned into one of the fastest-growing industries in Central Asia in recent years, and the country's cooperation with ICAO is constantly expanding.
Practical work is focused on improving airport infrastructure and implementing modern technologies and innovative solutions. Special attention was paid to the importance of civil aviation for tourism development.
The participants in the discussion noted that expanding international air connections, creating favorable conditions for flights, and improving the quality of services at airports can contribute to an increase in the number of foreign tourists, the opening of new tourism markets, and the promotion of Uzbekistan's tourism potential on the international stage.
Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to continue joint work and increase cooperation in the field of tourism development, which will allow for an increase in the flow of international tourists and strengthen ties between the aviation and tourism sectors.
