Brisanet, a company based in Ceará, began selling its 4G and 5G mobile telephony packages in the Central-West region of Brazil on the 10th. The launch occurred with a slight delay, covering the Goiás cities of Acreúna and Hidrolândia, as reported by Teletime.
The proposed prices are competitive: the initial plan costs from R$ 29.99 in the first year and includes 20 GB. There are also options for 30 GB (which can reach 60 GB with portability) for R$ 39.90 and 100 GB (which can be 150 GB with portability) for only R$ 49.90.
It is important to note that these advantageous allowances are valid exclusively on Brisanet's own network, which is still in the process of expansion. When using national roaming on TIM, the available data drops significantly, falling between 2 GB and 5 GB, depending on the contracted plan. Furthermore, device contracting is restricted, as Brisanet currently only allows acquisition via eSIM, without offering physical SIM cards.
This expansion had already been planned, as the company announced its intention to sell plans in the Central-West region in August, thus fulfilling its future coverage goals. The selection of these locations follows an initial logic, focusing on municipalities with a population of less than 30 thousand inhabitants.
Although Brisanet does not yet have licensed Radio Base Stations (RBS) in these two cities, it was verified that the company has already filed licensing requests with Anatel for 4 RBS in Acreúna and 3 RBS in Hidrolândia, in addition to requesting licenses in Aragoiânia, Caldazinha, Cezarina, Guapo, and Santa Bárbara De Goiás, all located in the state of Goiás.
In addition to meeting coverage obligations, Brisanet's arrival in these new cities should boost the growth of its mobile subscriber base, which registered 1,108,104 customers in July, mostly concentrated in Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, and Paraíba.
For comparison, Unifique, another operator operating in the mobile market and present in the South, in addition to the operation of Consórcio Amazônia 5G in the North and São Paulo, has slightly over 353 thousand customers to date.
Brisanet plans to further expand its coverage in the Central-West. According to the company itself, 62 cities in Goiás and 53 in Mato Grosso do Sul will receive service this year, and another 115 cities are planned for 2027, aiming to complement coverage and meet future demands.
