Hero MotoCorp has updated its popular motorcycle model Glamour for the Indian market. The new Hero Glamour X 125, equipped with an ABS system, has been introduced.
The company claims that the Glamour X 125 is the first model in the 125 cc segment to feature both a Single Channel ABS and an Integrated Braking System (IBS). This new functionality prevents front wheel lock-up during heavy braking, while the IBS improves braking efficiency by combining the operation of the front and rear brakes.
The Glamour X 125 ABS model was released at a price of 1.01 lakh rupees, including export duties. The standard Glamour X version with drum brakes is available for 88,517 rupees, including export duties in New Delhi. Furthermore, the Glamour X includes features such as panic brake warning and hazard lights; however, no major structural changes were made to the motorcycle.
The Glamour X is equipped with a 124.7 cc single-cylinder engine, which delivers 11.4 hp and 10.5 Nm of torque. The motorcycle is available in three riding modes: Eco, Road, and Power. It also features a cruise control-like function, which is new to this segment.
The motorcycle is fitted with a TFT instrument cluster supporting Bluetooth, providing capabilities such as turn-by-turn navigation, call notifications, and SMS alerts. Additionally, the screen displays gear shift recommendations, a low fuel indicator, and real-time fuel consumption.
Other specifications include a full LED lighting system, a USB Type-C charging port, and dual internal storage under the seat. The Glamour X ABS is available in four color options: Gun Metal Grey, Matte Axis Grey, Black Pearl Red, and Black Teal Blue. The claimed fuel economy for this model is 65 kilometers per liter.
