Digitalization of document processing related to hunting is being implemented in Uzbekistan. For individuals who have successfully completed special training courses and passed tests, the certificate is issued for a period of two years.
According to amendments made to relevant legal acts, hunting can be conducted both in specially organized hunting grounds assigned to hunting farms and in free-range zones defined by the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change.
The possibility has been introduced to release wild animals into hunting farms after they have been fully raised in nurseries. In this case, it is permitted to hunt such a number of wild animals throughout the year, except during their breeding period, which corresponds to the number of animals sent to the farms.
Furthermore, obtaining permission to keep wild animals is not required for such cases. The breeding period of wild animals is determined based on a conclusion from the Institute of Zoology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
In addition, the changes provide for the digitization of the hunting certificate issuance procedure. These certificates are issued to natural persons aged 18 or older who are legally competent, have completed special courses, and successfully passed exams. Issuance is carried out through the YIDHP portal (my.gov.uz) by the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change for a period of up to two years.
The validity period of the hunting certificate can be extended upon application by the applicant herself.
