British researchers conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis that established a correlation between attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and various gastrointestinal problems.
According to the results of this scientific review, having an ADHD diagnosis increases the likelihood of digestive system disorders. Among the identified problems, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, and cases of fecal incontinence were particularly noted.
This work was officially published in the scientific journal Journal of Attention Disorders.
