Average housing area per capita in Uzbekistan reached 19.2 square meters by 2025

According to data from the National Statistical Committee of Uzbekistan, in 2025 the average total living space per resident in Uzbekistan was 19.2 square meters.

This indicator showed an increase of 4.2 square meters, which corresponds to a 28% increase over a fifteen-year period.

Dynamics of housing conditions

In 2010, the average housing provision was 15 square meters per person. By 2015, this figure rose to 15.2 square meters, and in 2020 it reached 16 square meters.

A more significant growth was recorded in 2021, when the living space per person reached 18.2 square meters. In 2022, this figure was 18.5 square meters, and in 2023 it was 19 square meters.

In 2024, the average housing area per resident increased to 18.9 square meters, and in 2025 it reached 19.2 square meters.

Thus, over the period from 2010 to 2025, the average total living space per capita in Uzbekistan grew from 15 to 19.2 square meters.
