The Peugeot 208 and 2008 models have been renewed for the 2027 lineup, introducing significant changes without altering the base engine. The higher trim levels now incorporate the GT MHEV signature, receiving exclusive wheel designs and a new color option.
The vehicle catalog features prices ranging from R$ 93,990, for the 208 Style 1.0 MT, to R$ 162,990, corresponding to the 2008 GT MHEV Turbo 200 AT.
After presenting the mild hybrid system in the top configurations—making it the first of its kind in the compact hatch segment in Brazil—the manufacturer integrated this technology into the version name, previously known as Hybrid GT.
A new color, named Okénite White, has been added to the palette, joining Azul Obsession, Artense Gray, Selenium Gray, and Nero Pearl Black. However, Artense Gray is not available in the GT MHEV versions, which are limited to four color options.
The Peugeot 208, which has a length of 4.05 meters, offers three configurations: Style 1.0 MT, Allure Turbo 200 AT, and GT MHEV Turbo 200 AT. The entry-level Style version comes equipped with 16-inch Dark Style wheels. The Allure uses Noma diamond-cut wheels, also 16 inches, and the top-of-the-line version receives 17-inch two-tone wheels with 'Y' shaped spokes.
The 2008 is available in Active, Allure, and GT MHEV versions, all equipped with the Turbo 200 AT engine. The initial version uses 16-inch Silom wheels; the Allure features 17-inch Karakoy diamond-cut wheels; and the GT MHEV boasts 18-inch Evissa Black Mist wheels, featuring a double star design.
In both GT MHEV versions, the 1.0 turbo flex engine, capable of generating up to 130 hp and 20.4 kgfm (with peak torque reached from 1,750 rpm), operates in conjunction with an auxiliary electric motor and a 12V lithium-ion battery, using a CVT automatic transmission.
The Advanced Start & Stop, e-Braking, and e-Coasting systems function to recover energy during braking and deceleration, which, according to the manufacturer, helps smooth out take-offs, reduce consumption, and lower emissions. In the specific case of the 208 Style, the naturally aspirated 1.0 flex engine, with up to 75 hp, retains the five-speed manual transmission.
The GT MHEV versions include the Peugeot Driver Assist package, which covers emergency automatic braking, collision warning, lane keeping assist, and speed sign recognition. Furthermore, they are equipped with Full LED headlights and a 10-inch MHEV 3D cluster. The 208 also features Visiopark 180°, while the 2008 offers a 360° camera, panoramic roof, and paddle shifters.
The established prices are: R$ 93,990 for the 208 Style 1.0 MT; R$ 119,990 for the 208 Allure; and R$ 132,990 for the 208 GT MHEV. For the 2008, the prices are R$ 134,990 for the Active, R$ 149,990 for the Allure, and R$ 162,990 for the GT MHEV, all valid for direct personal billing and in Nero Pearl Black color.
When compared to the launch prices of the 2026 lineup under the same conditions, the range saw an increase: there was a rise of R$ 2,000 in the 208 Style and Allure, R$ 6,000 in the 208 GT and 2008 Allure, and R$ 1,000 in the 2008 Active. Only the top-spec 2008 maintained the price of R$ 162,990.
