A study published in the International Journal of Cancer examined the correlation between consuming very hot beverages and the risk of esophageal cancer. This study indicates that ingesting tea or coffee at very high temperatures can significantly increase this probability.
According to the findings, individuals who habitually consume very hot beverages may have up to three times higher risk of developing esophageal cancer compared to those who do not have this habit.
