Representatives of Uzbekistan and TVG Group discussed employment opportunities in Lithuania

The Chairman of the Food Safety Committee of Uzbekistan, Azizbek Urunov, met with international expert and director of AMC Overseas FZE, Suvra Chakrabarty, to discuss ways to increase the country's export potential in agricultural and food products.

The Food Safety Committee of Uzbekistan noted that the parties reviewed opportunities to expand access for local producers and exporters to global markets, as well as improve export processes in line with modern requirements.

Special attention was paid to strengthening the practical knowledge and skills of local exporters. Discussions covered international market analysis, searching for foreign buyers, and conducting effective negotiations with potential partners.

Participants also discussed the practical aspects of organizing export supplies, including proper adherence to logistics and customs procedures, product certification according to international standards, and preparation of necessary documentation.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the competitiveness of products in foreign markets depends not only on quality; packaging, storage conditions, supply chain management, and increasing added value also play an important role.

The participants exchanged views on applying international experience in these areas, taking into account the conditions in Uzbekistan and providing practical assistance to local entrepreneurs.

During the 2025–2026 period, educational seminars involving Chakrabarty were held in the regions of Uzbekistan for representatives of dehqan and farming enterprises, as well as entrepreneurs.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue educational programs aimed at exchanging international practical experience. The Committee emphasized the significance of international experts' practical experience for increasing the export potential of local entrepreneurs, enhancing the competitiveness of Uzbek products in external markets, and expanding the geographical scope of Uzbekistan's food exports.

Representatives from Uzbekistan and Serbia held discussions aimed at deepening trade and investment interaction, as well as establishing direct contacts between companies from both countries. According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, these negotiations took place ahead of the President of Uzbekistan's visit to Serbia.

Jamil Maksudi, an advisor to the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, conducted a series of meetings with representatives of Serbian business organizations and companies. A special meeting was organized with Mihailo Vesović, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, and the head of the Palace's international cooperation department.

Participants discussed methods to strengthen the activities of the Uzbekistan-Serbia Business Council and expand direct interaction between entrepreneurs from the two states. Significant attention was paid to the development and implementation of joint investment projects.

The agricultural sector, including meat production projects, was identified as a potential area for cooperation. The parties also reviewed trade conditions and tariff regulation, as well as opportunities for more effective utilization of the benefits of the GPA+.

Furthermore, prospects for investment cooperation in the fields of information and communication technologies and light industry were studied. During the visit, conversations were held with representatives of Serbian firms operating in the agro-industrial sector and other sectors of the economy. The expansion of trade and investment ties, as well as scientific and technological exchanges, including potential joint projects focused on agricultural clusters in Uzbekistan, were discussed.

Viktor Ribich, a representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in Serbia, participated in organizing these meetings. Both sides expressed interest in further developing business ties and increasing the number of joint initiatives. It is expected that ongoing negotiations will open up additional opportunities for expanding bilateral trade and investment partnership.

In Tashkent, Uzbekistan, a seminar dedicated to the tasks of developing regional industry was held on September 3. The main goal of the event was to more effectively utilize existing potential and improve the work of regional industrial headquarters.

The First Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, Ilhom Norkulov, took part in the seminar. Participants analyzed the current system of industrial development in the regions, as well as reviewed current problems and ways to solve them.

Special attention was paid to increasing the production and export potential of enterprises, implementing new projects, and determining growth directions in various regions. Topics discussed included developing industrial development plans based on data.

Participants also discussed the need for regular monitoring of enterprises, involving small companies in cooperation with large industrial giants, deep processing of local raw materials, and expanding value chain creation.

The seminar also considered proposals to increase the efficiency of using industrial zones and small industrial centers. Mechanisms for providing targeted support to exporting companies and opportunities to attract international brands to the regions were discussed.

Significant attention was given to the application of artificial intelligence technologies for forecasting and analyzing industrial development processes. Following the event, priority tasks were defined for the full realization of the regions' industrial potential.

These tasks include creating new jobs, increasing export volumes, expanding supply geography, stimulating the production of import-substituting goods, and enhancing the competitiveness of regional industry.
