The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uzbekneftegaz, Abdugani Sanginov, met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline Company Limited (TAPLine), Zhang Jiachen. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss current cooperation, joint projects, and promising directions for partnership.
During the negotiations, the sustainable development of interaction between Uzbekneftegaz and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) was emphasized. Participants also highlighted the importance of the efforts of the leaders of both companies to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
TAPLine was characterized as a long-term and reliable partner in the activities of the Asia Trans Gas joint venture. The parties separately considered the need to update the composition of the supervisory board and internal documents of Asia Trans Gas in accordance with current legislation.
An initiative to develop the joint venture to the status of a 'first-tier company' was also discussed. Agenda items included improving interaction and coordination between shareholders, as well as profit distribution.
Abdugani Sanginov stressed the need for a detailed assessment of the economic efficiency, costs, and implementation timelines of several proposed initiatives, taking into account the priority tasks of the current stage.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to continue working on strengthening cooperation, increasing the efficiency of Asia Trans Gas, and implementing mutually beneficial projects.
