Indian historian Vijay Prasad, who is also the executive director of the Tricontinental Institute for Social Research, highlighted the rapid increase in trade turnover between Global South nations. He noted the significance of this trend for the BRICS agenda during an interview with CGTN reporter Li Jingjing.
Regarding cooperation between China and India, Prasad pointed to areas such as affordable medicines and the transition to a green economy. In his opinion, closer interaction between these countries can contribute to cost reduction.
Prasad stated that the union of India and China 'will bring an incredible impetus to the world.'
