An incident involving the destruction of a young man's house occurred in Jogulamba Gadwal area of Telangana state following an inter-caste wedding. A case has been registered against the young man's wife's relatives for damaging his property.
According to the police, the couple married on September 9th. The very next day, one of the rooms in the young man's house was destroyed. The young man belongs to the SC community, while his wife is from the BC community. Both reside in Repalli village, which falls under the Gadwal Grammandal area. The young man works as a driver, and the girl is in her final year of college.
The police reported that the couple lived in Hyderabad for some time, where they met and fell in love, leading them to decide to marry. One senior police official noted that the young man lived with his family in Hyderabad, and the two-room house in the village had been vacant and closed for a long time.
Initial police investigation revealed that the girl's family and some relatives were dissatisfied with the marriage. After learning about the wedding, some of the girl's relatives arrived in the village. According to the claim, on Thursday evening, they used a tractor to collapse one room in the young man's house. No one was present in the house at that time; only one of the two rooms was completely destroyed.
Upon receiving the information, the police registered a case and confiscated the tractor used to destroy the house. The police stated that the investigation into the matter is ongoing. Preliminary checks indicate a protest against the marriage. The police are currently determining who participated in the house destruction incident.
