After his son's wish was granted, a devotee from Chhattisgarh presented the deity with a gold crown worth 14 lakhs

For some, visiting Shirdi is just a trip; for others, it is an act of faith, and for some, it is such a deep connection that many decades of life pass under the images of Sai Baba. Tarachand Chopkar, who lives in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, has a similar profound connection with Sai Baba.

According to Tarachand, he has been visiting Shirdi to worship Sai Baba for about 55 years. During this time, his family has grown, life has changed, but his faith in Sai Baba has remained unwavering. After his son's wish was fulfilled, the family presented a richly decorated gold crown to the Sai Baba temple, valued at approximately 14 lakh rupees.

Tarachand Chopkar arrived from Raipur to Shirdi with his family, carrying a special gift he intended to present to Sai Baba's feet—it was a golden carved crown. The family delivered the crown to the Sai Baba temple and offered it to Baba according to the temple's procedures. During this event, the temple administration honored Tarachand Chopkar and his family.

This story is related to the fulfillment of a heartfelt wish. According to Tarachand Chopkar, this wish concerned his son. He recounted that the family had asked Sai Baba to grant a specific wish, and after its realization, they decided to show their gratitude to Baba by presenting the gold crown.

Tarachand emphasized that Sai Baba's benevolence towards him and his family is so great that it is difficult to describe in words. He noted that this is not just a gold crown, but a gift symbolizing years of faith and a fulfilled desire.

According to Tarachand Chopkar, the crown presented to Sai Baba weighs about 9 tolas of gold and is adorned with fine carving. Its value is approximately 14 lakh rupees. However, for Tarachand and his family, its value is not limited to market price; it carries the significance of the fulfilled wish and the faith they have felt near Sai Baba over many years.

Tarachand Chopkar shared his feelings about Sai Baba, saying that Baba shows immense mercy towards him and his family. He added that he has been visiting Shirdi for about 55 years, and during this long period, his devotion to Sai Baba has only strengthened.

The Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi is a major center of faith not only in the country but worldwide. Thousands of pilgrims arrive here daily. Some come with requests for employment, others pray for family well-being, and some simply come for Darshan (sight) of Baba. When someone's wish is fulfilled, many devotees offer something as a gift to Baba according to their faith.
