Carney announced the release of 350 million Canadian dollars (equivalent to 218 million euros) designated for the supply of air defense equipment to Ukraine.
These interceptors will be sent to Kyiv by Canada, utilizing a United States program that is open to Ukrainian allies to cover war-related costs.
Furthermore, the two governments formalized a collaboration aimed at the manufacturing of anti-drone systems and drones. According to Carney, one-third of the drones produced in Canada will be allocated to Ukraine to assist in protecting its territory.
To support Ukraine during the winter period, Canada also committed to providing over 430 million dollars in credit guarantees for gas procurement.
