TecToy launches the first gamer controller for mobile phones from Zeenix in Brazil

TecToy has introduced its first gamer controller for smartphones to the Brazilian market under the Zeenix brand. This new accessory was developed in collaboration with GameSir and is called G8, featuring a design similar to conventional console controllers, and is sold in Brazil for R$ 329.

The device was designed to cater to both players who use native game applications on their phones and those who access titles through cloud gaming services. The partnership established between TecToy and GameSir will be exclusive for a determined period.

The G8 offers compatibility with smartphones ranging in length from 110 mm to 185 mm and features an adjustable structure to fit various phone models. Its layout includes two analog sticks, one directional pad, and action buttons located on the sides of the screen.

The controller connects directly via the USB-C port, eliminating the need for Bluetooth connection. According to TecToy, this feature helps reduce latency between player action and in-game response, which is particularly relevant in competitive and action games.

The product's intention is to replicate the feeling of playing on consoles while maintaining the mobility inherent in using a smartphone. Eddy Antonini, chief engineer of the Zeenix line, stated that the product aims to 'bring the experience of practicality and familiarity of traditional controllers from anywhere,' recognizing the importance of portability for gamers in the country.

In addition to common mobile games, the company positions the G8 as a viable solution for cloud gaming, allowing the smartphone to function as a screen for cloud-streamed games while the physical controller takes over the role of replacing on-screen touch commands.

The introduction of this accessory also contributes to expanding the Zeenix portfolio. This brand was formally established in 2024 as TecToy's gaming division, and currently covers peripherals, games, and portable computers.
