DGCA bans flights in seven northern Indian states due to BRICS summit

As part of enhanced security measures ahead of the BRICS summit in Delhi, the DGCA issued a directive concerning all Flight Training Organizations (FTOs) in seven northern Indian states located near Delhi.

According to the directive, all FTOs in states such as Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Himachal must suspend all activities from Friday morning until late Sunday evening.

Furthermore, for 52 hours starting Friday morning, operations involving light/microlight aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and similar long-range aircraft were prohibited within a 300-kilometer radius of Delhi.
