Geneticists sequenced the DNA of the renowned scientist Gregor Mendel, whose remains were discovered in the Czech Republic several years ago. The research results were presented at the congress of the European Anthropological Association.
The researchers were able to determine the mitochondrial and Y-chromosome haplogroups of this biologist and clergyman. Additionally, they managed to identify characteristics of his appearance, including hair, skin, and iris color.
