Apple launches its first foldable iPhone, iPhone Duo, starting from ₹2.99 lakh

Apple has launched its first screen-folding handset, named iPhone Duo. This is a passport-style foldable phone, whose design has already been introduced by Samsung.

Recently, Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, which provides a wide screen when opened. The iPhone Duo will directly compete with Samsung's latest foldable devices.

The starting price of the iPhone Duo has been set at ₹2,99,900, which includes 256GB storage. The company has released it in four different storage options, while the top model is priced at ₹4.50 lakh.

When the iPhone Duo opens, it transforms into a 7.6-inch screen, while its outer display is 5.4 inches. Both display panels are equipped with Super Retina XDR technology and will feature the Dynamic Island functionality.

This phone features a dual rear camera setup. The main camera is a 48-megapixel fusion lens, featuring an f/1.6 aperture and Sensor Shift Image Stabilization. The second secondary camera is also 48MP, and it includes a 12MP selfie camera.

The iPhone Duo uses a powerful chipset called A20 Pro, which the company has also used in the iPhone 18 Pro series.

The company claims that the iPhone Duo's battery can last for a full 24 hours on a single charge. It has two built-in rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and charges up to 50 percent in just 20 minutes.
