Soap is an item of daily use in every home, especially when washing the face, which is often done twice a day. However, most commercial soaps contain aggressive chemicals, sulfates, and artificial fragrances that deprive the skin of natural moisture, making it dry and dull. In such conditions, making natural soap at home is an excellent alternative for cleansing the skin without using chemicals, allowing for softness and radiance.
Thanks to the antioxidants, vitamins, and moisturizing properties contained in aloe vera, the skin receives deep nourishment. This helps lighten spots and gives the face a natural, milky glow. Next, a simple way to make such soap is presented.
To create homemade soap, you will need the following ingredients: gel from a fresh aloe vera leaf — 1/2 cup; soap base (based on glycerin or goat's milk serum) — 200 grams; Vitamin E capsules — 2 pieces; rose water — 1 tablespoon; almond or coconut oil — 1 teaspoon; and a silicone mold for shaping the soap.
First, you need to prepare the aloe vera gel: extract the gel from a fresh leaf using a spoon, and then blend it in a blender until a smooth paste is obtained.
Next, melt the soap base: cut it into small pieces. Then, bring water to a boil in a pot and, placing a second container over it (double boiler method), completely melt the soap base.
After this, add the ground aloe vera gel, Vitamin E oil, rose water, and almond oil to the melted soap base, mixing all ingredients thoroughly.
Pour the resulting mixture into the silicone mold. If no mold is available, a small plastic container previously greased with oil can be used. Then, leave the soap at room temperature for 2–3 hours or place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to harden. Once the soap is hard, remove it from the mold, and the natural aloe vera herbal soap is ready for use.
