Uzbekistan participates in the International Space Summit in Paris

The delegation of Uzbekistan is participating in the International Space Summit, which will take place in Paris on September 9 and 10. The country's interests at this event are represented by the 'Uzbekcosmos' Agency.

Preliminary Discussion of Participation

The issue of Uzbekistan's participation in the summit was discussed back in February. A meeting took place between the director of 'Uzbekcosmos', Shukhrat Kadyrov, and the French Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Walid Fouque. During this meeting, the French side invited the agency's delegation and proposed deepening cooperation with the French National Centre for Space Studies (CNES).

During the negotiations, the parties also considered issues such as personnel training, the creation of joint educational programs, the implementation of a 6U satellite project, and the prospects of training Uzbekistan's first national cosmonaut. Cooperation between the two countries already covers projects in the field of Earth remote sensing and interaction with French space structures.

The International Space Summit in Paris is a platform where representatives from various countries and leading companies in the space industry gather. The main goal of the summit is to discuss topics related to the development of space programs, international cooperation, and the role of the private sector in space research.

Furthermore, it was previously known that two representatives of Uzbekistan are participating in the international space project Mission ShakthiSAT, which is being implemented in India.
