Motorola presented a teaser of the new foldable smartphone Razr after the launch of the iPhone Duo

Motorola released a teaser showcasing a new foldable smartphone from the Razr line, just hours after the launch of the iPhone Duo, which was Apple's first foldable phone.

Although the device has not yet been given a name, technical specifications, or an official release date, the manufacturer's promotional material indicates a significant change in the traditional design of the Razr family.

In the video shared on social media, Motorola provided a retrospective of the Razr devices launched over the past 22 years. At the end of this sequence, the silhouette of a new smartphone appeared, characterized by a more robust body and a more compact format.

Unlike the more well-known Razr models, which use a vertical configuration and close like a clamshell, this new device will have a book-like format, meaning its screen will open horizontally to create a larger viewing area.

Motorola did not provide other details about the equipment, nor did it communicate the model name, release schedule, or its specific features.

More information

Currently, the only confirmation made by Motorola about the new product is its existence, evidenced by the aforementioned teaser.

However, recent leaks suggested the development of a Razr with larger dimensions. Images attributed to anonymous sources indicate a device with a lower and wider body, featuring rounded corners and potential modifications to the opening system. This data is still awaiting confirmation from Motorola.

The company is expected to disclose more details about the new Razr in the coming weeks. The post titled Motorola "showcases" new foldable Razr in teaser after iPhone Duo debut was initially published by Olhar Digital.
