Apple launches three iPhone models that hit new price records in Brazil and the US

Apple announced on Wednesday, the 9th, a new line of iPhones that establishes three new price benchmarks in the Brazilian market. Based on the maximum value of each model, the iPhone Duo, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the iPhone 18 Pro take the top three spots among the most expensive devices ever sold by the company in the country.

The standout model is the iPhone Duo, Apple's first foldable, which reaches a value of R$ 30,999 in its 2 TB storage configuration. This price is R$ 9,000 higher than the maximum value of the iPhone 18 Pro Max and R$ 10,000 higher than the iPhone 18 Pro.

The iPhone Duo will be available in Brazil in four storage capacities. The entry version, with 256 GB, will cost R$ 21,999 and would already be the most expensive iPhone in history, if there were no higher capacity models. The other options are: 512 GB for R$ 23,499 and 1 TB for R$ 26,499. The maximum 2 TB configuration costs R$ 30,999. Pre-sales in Brazil start on October 16th at 9 am, with availability in stores starting October 23rd.

With the arrival of the Duo, even its most affordable version matches the maximum price of the iPhone 18 Pro Max, while the other specifications exceed the cost of the traditional models of this new generation.

Although it was expected that Apple's foldable would occupy this position due to its innovative nature, the other models also present high values.

In second place in the price ranking is the iPhone 18 Pro Max, reaching R$ 21,999 in the 2 TB storage version. This model also has versions with 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB.

The iPhone 18 Pro reaches R$ 20,999 in the 2 TB version. In Brazil, it starts at R$ 12,499, while the 18 Pro Max has an initial price of R$ 13,999.

Previously, the highest official price for an iPhone in Brazil was the iPhone 17 Pro Max 2 TB, which cost R$ 18,499. Thus, the three new models surpass this old record when considering the most expensive configuration of each device.

The difference is even more noticeable in the case of the Duo, as R$ 30,999 represents an increase of R$ 12,500 compared to the previous price limit for the iPhone in the country.

In the United States, the three new models also surpass Apple's old price record. Previously, the title of the most expensive iPhone belonged to the iPhone 17 Pro Max 2 TB, sold for US$ 1,999. In the current generation, the iPhone 18 Pro reaches US$ 2,399, the iPhone 18 Pro Max reaches US$ 2,499, and the iPhone Duo reaches US$ 3,199, all in the 2 TB versions.
